For season 2021-22, Under the affiliation and guidance of the Cheshire Girls League, we are launching a Chester Locality. The aim is to provide greater accessibility for girls in the area to play football in a quality competitive structure. To provide and develop local referees and coaches to become involved in the female game.
In conjunction with the Cheshire FA, Football Foundation & Chester FC the new facility at King George’s in Chester have been allocated for the new division of the Cheshire Girls League (Chester Locality) this will become a hub site for girls football on a Saturday morning utilising the 3G pitch and grass pitches.
The venue is due to open in November 2021. A contingency of grass pitches will be in place until the new build is ready.
Fixtures to be issued weekly with a break for school holidays.
The aim is for the Chester division to initially start off at Mini-Soccer age groups. Depending on the uptake the league will offer the following age groups; U8’s, U9’s U10’s, U11’s formats in accordance with the CGFL. Each year the division will grow an age group division but may look to merge with another locality/localities to give more competition where there are not as many teams in the older age bands.
